      For those who feel a truck has to be set to one type of persona, this takes those pre conceived notions and throws them out the door. While this vehicle has many similarities to its cousin the pre 2011 Ford Ranger, it feels like you are driving a SUV. And you don’t need to be a macho man or woman to own a truck anymore. It’s almost a gender neutral version of utility. Very practical, has masculine exterior but inside it has a practical sense to it. For a parent of a toddler, it had better room then the new Ranger or the Santa Cruz. My wife enjoys driving it, not feeling overwhelmed after having a F-150. Gas mileage is decent, averaging 25 mpg on the 2.0 turbo engine. The bed is another thing, I feel I can haul what I want, it’s so clever and it’s also super customizable. 2 thumbs up from this Gen X dude who has owned a F-150 and Chevy Avalanche.

      The perfect storm. My maverick has been more enjoyable than the day I received my 2000 new Corvette not as fast but I’m enjoying it more than that even more than the first time I made out with my girlfriend in high school sorry I’ll girl there’s so many right things about this truck I can’t list them all in a short essay and only say thank you Ford motor company for such a pleasure gift at a reasonable price and that warrants has it whispered to me passing a gas station feed me feed me No it just keeps on going and that’s a good thing at five dollars a gallon

      I picked up my 2022 Ford Maverick XLT in November of 2021. My first impression during the test drive was that nearly everything about it seemed well-refined for the price point except for the engine noise. It's loud in the cabin and honestly sounds weak and puny for a truck, but it pulls like a champ. Of the features offered, I opted for the Ecoboost engine, FX4 Off-road AWD package, 4K towing package, power recepticle in the cabin, heated seats and steering wheel, sunroof, and a few other odds and ends to make it a useful and comfortable diet work truck. My line of work as an independent contractor led me to the purchase of this vehicle for its relative ability at a sticker price of around $35,050. Many days I pull a 14 foot utility trailer with a moderate load of tools, ladders, and supplies pushing very close to the 4,000 lb tow limit, and I get around 17 MPG on average. This tiny beast moves with urgency, although with an almost constant turbo whine. Previously, I owned a 2015 Toyota Prius II I'm which I expected to achieve nearly 50 MPG, but my Maverick is surprisingly efficient on gas when it's not under a load. I've taken it on a roundabout road trip of about 800 miles with a mix of city and lazy highway driving. It made for a comfortable ride for the wife and myself, all the while averaging close to 36 MPG for a NON-HYBRID model. Blew me away. I've taken it on gravel drives, through mud and sand, and even on some icy roads during the waning winter months, and I personally have never felt quite as confidently "in control" as I do in this truck. The safety features have kept me clear of several potentially dangerous situations, and I am mostly pleased with how the systems function together. I do typically turn off the lane keeping assist on rough back roads because the wheel tends to jerk excessively even on that system's least sensitive setting. The interior is probably the most comfortable I've enjoyed in a utility vehicle to date. The back seats are just as plush and supportive as the front, and the foot room is actually greater than that of the 2022 Ford Ranger (which completely surprised me). When I roll four passengers deep, everyone has plenty of space for ergonomically correct natural resting positions (they don't have to contort and twist to fit for the ride), decent audio from the base factory radio, a place for their small personal belongings in the convenient door pockets, convenient cupholders for beverages, plentiful and easily accessible ports for charging their phones and tablets, and - to top it off - in-vehicle WiFi (which has excellent bandwidth in my area - only $25 a month through AT
